Sketch (after a long while)
Haven’t really drawn in a long while so I took out my pencils and pens, flipped to a page of Dazed & Confused and started sketching in office. And because Iain Macarthur’s illustrations have been staring at me everyday in office, decided to take reference from it and kind of draw it in my own way. Feels very rusty drawing and I think it shows but it’s about time to start...

2109
Being a sci-fi fan, I’ve always been fascinated with the future and how it would become. However, technological advances, as amazing as they are, scare me and I actually don’t think it’s necessarily a good thing. So in early 2010, I created an illustration that kind of mocks the entire situation.

Landscape of the Future
Remember this earlier post I had about creating a scene of the future and having kids place self-drawn stickers onto it? Well the actual event took place months ago and here’s the landscape that I created. (For a bigger view, go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/42514029@N03/5417527699/)
The actual print was 6m by 1m and it was stuck onto a wall so the kids could reach out for it easily.

Japanese Food Type
Though I don’t think they look stunningly beautiful, Japanese Designer Masaaki Hiromura’s Japanese food type is pretty cute and fun to look at. Amazing how well the images fit the form & definition of the word, isn’t it?! :)

Pipin and the Fish...
…goes to Paris to be exact.
This is a notebook cover (which would be folded to half) and it’s probably the first time that I really combined illustration with a photograph. The photo was taken in Paris in 2009 while I was on board a Ferris Wheel. :)
two . zero . one . one
I was never a believer of setting new year resolutions. Last year, my resolution was to be a bad person and obviously I failed quite miserably. But this year, I’ve decided to set a list of resolutions and hope to keep by/fulfill most of them.

I don't ride I draw
Sometimes I wish I could though.
It’d be so much more convenient to travel around.
Plus scooters are so cute and fun!

Bad boys don't get the sun
Since it’s been hazy and/or rainy, I thought I’d upload this old illustration here. :D

Creating the future with kids (mock up)
A mock up created for an upcoming event meant for kids.
It went from the above to this…
Amazing isn’t it?!
Now it’s time to prepare a large scale drawing of a background set in the future for the actual event.
Looking forward to seeing the end result after the kids have drawn and pasted their stickers on it!!

I spotted UFOs in Shanghai (repost)
Selected and edited some photos to sum up the Shanghai trip in June.
Didn’t push the editing too far since it’s the first time I’m attempting this particular method.
Anyway, the photos. :)

We always start with a hello
I couldn’t figure out how to start this new blog.
So i figured that when stuck at the beginning of something, just say hello!
So hello and welcome to this part personal, part creative blog where I share my works, my ideas, my inspirations and parts of my life.
